Tostmann is one of the best known traditional costume companies in Austria. As early as 1949, the couple Tostmann founded their traditional costume factory in Seewalchen am Attersee. Even today, all dirndls are made exclusively in their own workshops in Seewalchen and Vienna. Here, traditional costumes are produced to the highest quality standards. The story of Tostmann begins with a hand loom, a sewing machine and Marlen Tostmanns great love of traditional costumes. Today Tostmann is 70 years old, the two-headed company has become a manufactory with over 100 employees, run by Gexi Tostmann and her daughter Anna. The dirndls and traditional costume suits are handmade using only the highest quality materials - for traditional costumes that can still be worn by the 3rd generation. The Dirndls made of silk, linen and cotton present themselves timelessly. Both the festive and plain models are in subtle, light colours that can be combined with eye-catching aprons. Fine woven structures as well as classic patterns such as the Aussee hand print or floral designs round off the overall picture and underline the elegant character of the traditional costume fashion.
