Trachten bags are more than just an accessory

A matching bag is an essential part of a proper traditional costume. After all, women always have a few accessories and small items that they want to carry with them. From keys to purses, these things are usually too big to be stored in pockets. A normal handbag would look out of place with a dirndl or traditional costume combination. Especially if traditional costume accessories such as matching belts, scarves or jewelry are used, the handbag should also be kept in the same style. Of course, a traditional bag can also be selected for a specific outfit. A colored bag goes very well with a dirndl if the corresponding color is also included in the dirndl fabric. You should not necessarily choose the dominant color of the dress. It is better to choose a color from the pattern or the apron so that there is a certain contrast between the dress and the bag. Ideally, the traditional shoes should be the same color as the bag. This creates a much more harmonious overall impression.
